Asteromea in bloom.

I was in Montauk recently visiting a garden that we planted a number of years ago. In the fields and woodlands surrounding the house we had planted thousands and thousands of Asteromea plugs (Japanese Aster is the common name). Starting in mid summer this feisty, long blooming perennial explodes with tiny daisy-like flowers that will often entertain until the first frost. Stunning in mass or as a container plant. Deer resistance is a B+.
